When the bureau of land management tried stopping his cattle from grazing on federal land (which he had been doing for decades) he organized a bunch of people from across the country and started an armed standoff with the feds and also used social media to get national attention on the situation. In the end the feds were forced to back off and the bundys are out of jail already.
